ARTICLE 33:  STAFF DEVELOPMENT BUY-BACK DAYS

The district shall schedule up to three voluntary staff development days outside the normal work schedule for unit members eligible for funding under the Instructional Time and Staff Development Reform Program.  Eligible unit members shall receive a stipend of $252 for each full session attended.  Each session shall be the equivalent of six hours, excluding lunch.  A joint committee of district and school site representatives shall provide a prioritized list of subject matter options for the staff development program which shall be subject to final approval by Instructional/Educational Services.  This article shall be reopened for review by the district or association upon request.
